The color is best in light shade with some morning sun and is better on larger plants. The name means "white tiger". This plant was once fairly common in Japan; I remember seeing fields of it in Ikeda grown for the cut flower trade. It nearly disappeared from cultivation and now is making a slow, pricey comeback. Limited supply.
